Golden Sands beach resort is the largest on the North Black Sea coast and is located 19 kilometres north east of Varna and 490 kilometres east of Sofia. Closeby you can find the villages of Kranevo, Chaika, St. Konstantin and Elena Resort, the area of Golden Sands is famous (as its name points out) for the purest sand on the Black Sea coast.

The whole area is fairly recent with construction works starting in 1950 and in fact is still going on. Most of the area is tarmac-covered, the narrow streets around the promenade are full of homely hotels and beautiful parks. Weatherwise the resort enjoys average summer temperatures of about 27°C and it is the perfect place for having a relaxing and fun. There are many bars, a casino, playgrounds, mini golf course, a water park and many different types of water sports.
