Property in Sofia
Sofia's thermal springs have always been its main attraction, and they are still very popular today.
During the Second World War, Bulgaria and Sofia were heavily bombed by allied raids and unfortunately more than 3000 buildings were destroyed and over 9000 were damaged, which can be seen by the newer aspect that the city has. Communism then entered and Sofia industrialised rapidy with factores and large apartment blocks. Sofia is now trying to enter Western Europe and shake off its past, which has meant that with its imminent entry in the EU it can expect property boom similar to that experienced by other European countries such as Portugal, Spain and Italy.
